The Love Shack

It truly is "a little old place where we can get together."  When we first envisioned what is now The Love Shack, we pictured a place where people could go to experience a sense of community stemming from God's love for all his children.  We wanted to start a place where people could share life.  I pictured tires.  No, seriously!  If someone needed tires, we could find someone else who had some that were still in pretty good shape.  I also pictured clothes and food and toilet paper and soap and tears and advice and prayers.  I also pictured young people hanging out and having fun while learning about God's love for them.

The Swap Shop--Today, The Love Shack is home to a Swap Shop full of clothes available to families and individuals. We appreciate one-for-one swaps, but clothes are also available at no cost without a swap.  We also often have other items to share such as food, books, toys, household items, and even furniture and appliances.

The Swap Shop is open Tuesdays from 1:30 to 4:30 and Saturdays 10 to 12.  Come check it out!

Children's and Youth Performing Arts Groups--We have two performing arts groups that meet at The Love Shack.  Our K-6th group is currently rehearsing a Christmas play, The First Leon, to be performed in December.  Our 7th-12th grade group is working on developing their acting, singing, and dancing skills and will perform in the spring.

The Love Shack also serves as the home to relationship coaching, love and marriage classes, bible studies, and youth programs.  We are also in the process of putting a coffee shop in our front room.  Our mission is to help people understand just how much they are loved by God, so we use this little building to help us do that in whatever way we can.
